Description
Honing is a process of grinding the original stone surface to create a smooth but matte finish. Honed finish is less slippery that polished finish, but are more susceptible to stains.
Similar with grinding, but the grit is increased to 100 – 3000, depending on the requirement, stone material and condition of the stone
Suitable For
Some may want a matt-finish instead of glossy surface, and opt for honing. However, bear in mind matt surfaces is harder to maintain compared to glossy surfaces.
